Who Goes When?

There are a bunch of trips coming up, who goes when and what area are you staying?

Feb. 27 - March 26. Simpson Bay Resort

Vrbo rental on Simpson’s Bay for January 13-23 with the hubby and another Vrbo rental April 30-May 1 with hubby and friends in Beacon Hill. My friends haven’t been yet and are excited to see why we love SXM so much.

I had to look up to see if you were sneaking an extra day in there with a leap year, no luck, but a wonderful 4 weeks.

Please tell me you aren't going for 1 night, April 30 to May 1?

Finally heading back after a long Covid cancellation, can't wait! We will be there from November 15 to December 1st. Maho for a week, then Terres Basses, and finally Simpson Bay. Looking forward to being back on the island again.

Whoopsie! April 23 to May 1

Love all 3 of those areas, but that is a lot of moving around over 2 weeks. Should be a great vacation, we will be there during that time.

October 27 - December 2 at Horny Toad

Arrive May 7th for 3 1/2 weeks at Flamingo.

10/29 (6 nights), 12/2 (3-5 nights) maybe!, 12/28 - (13 nights), 2/26 - 3/18 I think!!!! Cupecoy. Always subject to change!

This November for 2 weeks and next March for 2 weeks @Divi.

1/18/22 - 2/1/22 BSV

If all goes well, we’re heading to Orient Dec. 15-22. We’ll be in the same AirBnB we had last December.

Nov. 12-19, staying at Divi. Wish it was a longer trip but bringing our 2 daughters plus son in law and grand baby, so had to stay within their vacation available.

Greater family vacation, that’s a great time

january 9 th to Feb 6 at monreve on friars bay road.

This will be our first trip back since February 2020. Staying January 13th to February 17th at the La Siesta condos on Simpson Bay.

October 31 to November 14 staying at the villas at Simpson bay resort.

12/27 - 1/14 Staying at Villa Paloma in Orient Bay.

11/6-11/20 at Oyster Bay Beach Resort

We’re leaving The Horny Toad this coming Tuesday after almost 2 weeks. Still love it after all these years! We’ll be back February/March of next year.

We will be at SBR Jan 22 to Feb 25. Can’t wait after missing last year. A lot of friends & family over the five weeks. First time for our three year old grandson & second time for his five year old sister. Their Mom & Dad will celebrate their 7th anniversary. They got married in St Maarten 2/22/15.

We will be there Nov 13th - 25th. First 7 days at OBBR with our son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter and daughter-in-law’s parent. The last 5 days just my wife and I will be staying beachside in Grand Case. So excited!! First trip back in 2 1/2 years.

Middle two weeks of March 2022 in Orient village !

2/8/22 - 3/10/22 Orient Bay

Nov 11th at Villas for three days then to Royal Islander for 7.

October 30 - November 13 at La Terras

Hopefully December 23 - end of February or March.

November 20 - December 4. Staying in Maho.

11/3 - 11/14 staying at Esmeralda

We arrive on 11/5 at BSV and head home again on the 19th. And that’s it until April.

That is wonderful. I see you talked your DH into a full two weeks instead of the 10 days that is to his liking. Have a most wonderful trip and glad that you do not have to deal with the testing.

He’s a really good guy and has actually humored me for the past few years with the full two weeks and a few times we’ve actually done 2.5 weeks. And I’m not certain but I think next APRIL is a longer stay, too.

Thank you for the good wishes and believe me, I’m thrilled the need for pre-travel testing tonthe island is no longer necessary when fully vaccinated.

Aren’t you somewhere along our beach during a part of our stay? Good wishes to you, also.🙂🙂

We should be sharing 9 days. Yes on the beach, we are immediately past Mary's Boon. There are always 4 of us sitting out there, all by our lonesome, it's perfect where we stay.

April 17-27 at BSV.

11/11 to 11/30 At Beachside Villas !!!

Oyster Bay and here now October 23 thru 30th. Second trip this year but only one week this time.

March 16th to April 6th at BSV (for the first time, we usually stay at La Terrasse)

Hi Pat!!!! Can not wait to run into you at el Zafiro one morning!! Bringing new big pillows for couches and bed runners with bed pillows. Will be giving the old cushions a trim like last time.. as your husband described it. haha

Well hello again. We will be there a few times I’m sure and we are actually set to meet two sets of cyber-aquaintances in real time for the first time and I am totally looking forward to it. I’m sure we will see you there since we enjoy their breakfasts and we just love the setting plus it is sooooo convenient. So if we see anyone with scissors doing a number on the cushions it will be our pleasure to visit again.

Thank you Lesley. We LOVE el Zafiro! And of course, SXM. Our Heaven on Earth...and Kenny's Car Rental has been there for us since our first visits. For decades... And..Pat, how is your knee? Hope it is better!!

It sounds like a lot of amazing trips are scheduled and coming up, or happening right now. I think if I had asked this same question 1 year ago, there would have been a long litany of responses like, we cancelled for now, we're going to see what's happening with testing or we've postponed or are heading to a different location. It is great to see so many returning to the island for staycations.

I do think that those of us that arrive on the island and stay for any length of time are really the ones that have come to fully support the people and economies of the island. Many of us have built relationships with "locals" and some of us have even gone on to extend "family status" to some of the newest members of our extended community. We share in their life experiences, be it the joy of one of their children getting married or sharing in the grief of someone losing a spouse. I've witnessed both of these things happening, in this forum, over the past month and it speaks to the wonderful nature, of the people, who make up this community, TTOL.

For my group, 11 days to arrival for a 2+ week stay at Cocos Beach Club on Simpson Bay.

It's quite a while from now, we are going for our annual trip in June, June 9 to 20. Seems like forever away!!

Hi Pat, it looks like it’s going to be a nice crowd of TTOLers at BSV’s in November. We are arriving November 13th for 3 weeks. Definitely would like to meet you and have some fun hanging out at the pool with everybody.

I don’t do much beach walking these days as my cane doesn’t do well in the sand but if you do, and head towards ElZafiro i think we are the last unit at BSV right next to the pool and are often out on the porch. Stop and say hi if you’re of a mind to.




And you’re staying at BSV. I’m sure we will meet and looking forward to it.

And I'm sure that your trip, just recently completed, seems like forever ago. Thank God for memories to keep us going between trips and the trip reports that many share.

Where are you staying--past Mary's Boon?

Love to meet everyone there--we are at our HOME at Beachside Villas starting tomorrow!!!

We are staying in the condos immediately past Mary's Boon, they are called Cocos Beach Club (2 story units), yellow paint, with green railings on the second level. 99 times out of 100 We will be the only ones sitting directly on the beach in that area. I hope to drag my tired old body up to beachside villas also. What dates will you be there?
