OK,they are definitely sutting down and are retaining just a skeleton staff to honour summer charter commitments. They will then re-locate the fleet between Rodney Bay, St Lucia, and Grenada. They are doing a similar thing with other bases around the world.

rhans .... yes, please send more boats!

Seth,
On a related topic, my crew made it clear we would not return to St Vincent until there was competition for LIAT with scheduled service. So, is anything happening with the new airport and any new airlines?
Thanks,
Nolan

Hello Nolan - the new airport is progressing well and is currently scheduled for opening either in 2014 or 2015. You can see the progress and the terminal buildings at -

You can now access SVG by flying from the USA to Martinique, connecting to St Vincent with AIRAWAK.

LIAT announced recently that they had purchased two larger ATR turbo-props (I think a 72-seater and a 90-seater) and when they made this announcement, they also indicated that fares would be dropping in June - though we have yet to see such fare reductions

this is sad to hear. do you think it is the bad world economy or having to rely on LIAT to get down there? Coming in December.

Based on my observation from 7 years ago the sunsail staff on friday afternoons could have spent more time fixing all the things that break on a sailboat fleet rather than enjoying the view of the marina.
