You mean Belize. Ambergis Cay is a good starting point.
Or Placencia.

belize-trips.com

Katie is very helpful. Contact her. Depends on what you want to do. There are beaches, jungles, temples all sorts of things.

Did you go? I am looking into a trip for diving/snorkeling. Looking to see how you liked it if you did?

I have stayed at Corona Del Mar a few times and really like the place, but it has been a while. The ownership has probably changes. Good location and price. You can get good excursions from anywhere you stay in the San Pedro area on Ambergris Cay.

We have booked a trip to Caye Caulker for this February. I have never been there before but it looks to be a very relaxed place. There appears to be a very good snorkeling, lots of little eateries to choose from, and quite a few evening hang out with live music. We booked a condo through AirBnB at a good price. We are hoping for the best.

You pretty much described Caye Caulker. It is not very big. A sign at a restaurant says
No shirt
No shoes
No problem

I am anxious to check it out. We have never been there before so it will be a new adventure for us. Any advice?

we just returned from 12 days in Belize

stayed at Matachica which is on Ambergris Caye - lovely facility - even lovelier staff!

down side... you are five miles from anywhere and pretty much have to rely on water taxi which is pricey and crowded

did not wear shoes at all for 12 straight days - not in restaurants - not in town - no where - awesome

it was our sub for St. Martin this year - not the same - people watching not as good - it is a very very very quiet place so if you are looking for nightlife might want to reconsider
