Local Nudist Clubs - 04/28/2013 04:24 PM

We have only been to Florida/Caribbean resorts.............what is everybody's opinion of the ones say 50 miles from home........we think we may try but we figure the odds are higher it might have that local-yocal feel and or/we'll run into a coworker or relative..............................anyone care to allay my fears?

We visit a club/camp ground within 50 miles of our home and the thought has entered our minds, have rationalized that if we recognized another guest/member it would be one of those moments that you revel in the fact that you both have something in common. If someone is there enjoying clothes free lifestyle, why/what would provide them any basis to pass judgement on you? Go, relax, enjoy.

If you go to a local club and run into a friend/co-worker/family member what are they going to think about you being there? They are too That would just be something else you have in common and you could go together next time.

Many things to worry about in life... recognizing someone or being known as someone who also enjoys "sunning their buns" wouldn't be one of them.

I think it would be a riot to find the m ost unlikely neighbor or coworker there.....probably think the same thing about us.

Sure you might meet someone you know, but they are nude too. Local clubs alow you to enjoy the nude lifestyle far more often. Nudism is palm tree optional!

We have been members at Avalon Resort for 12 years now. In all that time we have only encountered people we already knew twice. Once about eight years ago when we ran into one of my wife's work acquaintences and the other time was when we were walking into the dining room and ran into a friend who sings with us in our church choir! He joined us for dinner and we had a good laugh over it...

It really is not a big deal. As Rob said above, you are all there for the same reason...

It is not common to meet someone you know at a local nudist club but it does happen occasionally. You both have a common interest in your privacy. I am retired from a very large company and when working only met one person who worked for the same company. When we saw each other at work we treated each other normally and we had a common interest in our privacy so it was no problem.

I made it through our son and daughter bringing a fiance/fiancee and although that can be momentarily awkward, everyone gets over it quickly.

Its worth potentially encountering a few moments of being awkward to be able to be a member of a local club and enjoy being nude on a regular basis.

Where is local?

that's our next step, incorporating our kids which range from 13-22. they have a clue about mom/dad vacations. we'd love to go all in once they all are fully grown.

We avoided visiting our nearest club because my wfe was worried about "meeting someone we know". After she bumped into a college acquaintance at a club hours away, she got over that hesitancy. Ironically, in the five years since we joined our local club ( 45 mins away), we've not met anyone crossing over from our textile world, except for meeting people on the " outside" that we already knew from meeting them first at the club, or textile friends we've invited to visit the club with us.

We checked one out this weekend. Not the Caribbean, but nice day in the sun with nice people, total expense less than $40.00. Nobody we knew, yet.

We're within 1-2 hrs of White Tail Resort, but never been there; can anyone tell us anything about that resort? We're nudist and been to Caliente,Paradise Lakes,Club O,Grand Lido, etc. We're not looking for rustic or campground atmosphere, which is what you get at most local clubs.
