Actually Sailing a Catamaran

Actually Sailing a Catamaran - 03/26/2016 01:55 PM

We have learned many things the hard way over the decades. One thing we do not do is move the boats anymore when the weather is not in our favor. That would be double true when we have guests aboard. To avoid the wear on the boat and abuse of the people aboard we have given up any type of advance schedule in the BVI and plan each day it goes along. We always keep at least one great meal ready to make aboard. For those that must move in the heavy stuff or are just intellectually curios. Here is a simple piece on the modern catamarans and heavy weather. One thing is certain. If you know what you are doing and in most cases even if you do not. The boat will be able to survive and tolerate much more than any crew can.
