CGB, Anegada, food, electricity, rooms - 01/10/2018 07:06 PM

Really want to start planning a trip back and have seen scattered info all over the place. For Cane Garden Bay, does anyone know if Rhymers hotel and restaurant are open with electricity, water and food. Is Bobby's market open? Is Quito's open? Does Tony's plan to rebuild? Also the same for Myett's (I think they said April)? Also the water/swimming quality of CGB do you think the bay issues will be resolved by last of May early June?

Are there any lodgings on JVD yet? Any water quality/swimming issues there?

For Anegada I am looking at Keel Cottages or Anegada Beach Resort? Any water quality/swimming issues there?

Also Cooper Island Resort, they used to have two cottages they would rent out to the right of the restaurant if looking from sea. Did they make it?

I know I can contact the establishments directly (or can I?) but wanted to get all thoughts. Want to come down with money to help support locals!

In CGB, Rhymer's is open for rooms but I don't think the restaurant is open; they do have power. The water quality tests released yesterday indicate it the water is not safe for swimming but by June I feel confident it will be. There is power and a backup generator at the sewage plant now and I see workers at the plant almost daily.

Bobby's market is not open but they have been inside cleaning, wiping down shelves, and adding stock all week. I haven't heard an open date yet. Quito's is not open and earlier announced they were not opening this season. Tony has stopped rebuilding and the lease is changing hands. Myett's is open 11am - 7pm Tuesday - Sunday with a limited menu.

There will be no water issues at Keel Cottages or Anegada Beach Club or Anegada Beach Cottages.

Bobby's Market is operational. I've been emailing Angela this week to place an order for delivery to Anegada. She has been helpful and accommodating so please feel free to contact them.
Cooper Island is expected to open in April but I would check.

They are asking about Bobby's in CGB I believe..you are dealing with RoadTown, I'm sure. Jason knows..he's right there on the hill above.

My apologies. I responded too quickly and you are absolutely right. I was speaking of Bobby's in Roadtown.

Anegada Beach Club plans a Feb 1 re-opening! Water quality is fine on Anegada. Lots of beach erosion on the north shore of Anegada especially at Keel Cottages.

Anyone know about Flash of Beauty or Big Bamboo on Loblolly Bay, Anegada? We'll be there late February.

Thanks!

Big Bamboo bar and restaurant are open. Don't know if they are renting rooms.

Flash of Beauty suffered significant damage, but they are rebuilding. A new concrete roof was poured 2 weeks ago so I would guess they keep the numerous support posts in place for a couple more weeks to let it fully cure. Still need to refurbish the kitchen and bathrooms. I plan to stop by again in late Feb to check on progress and hopefully buy drinks and lunch.
