TS Leslie - 10/01/2018 05:04 PM

Anyone else watching the weird behavior of TS Leslie now heading south west slowly towards our beloved islands? Thoughts??

Thanks for tracking that. I assumed it was off to sea. But no problemo - as of Saturday we have new roofs on our garage and toolshed, and all new hurricane shutters on our house! Our car even fits back in the garage. Would never say bring it on, but we’re feeling the five trips and $$$$ invested have us in pretty good shape.

I always worry about the ones that don't know where they are going! (like "wrong way" Lenny).

Looks like the surfers may have some nice swells but she seems to be way north..

It is an extremely odd storm. Never seen one like that before.

Please don't! We are not ready.

Good news is there are still no roofs in place to blow off...

We are not ready either. At least not for another CAT 5. Hopefully the windows and doors are completed on schedule and then we too, can have the hurricane shutters installed.......

Lesley--it's WAY out in the middle of the Atlantic, but just going around in circles. Very odd...

Discussion #25.....

"After that time, the combination of a shortwave trough to the west
and an amplifying mid-level ridge to the southeast should cause
Leslie to move northward to north-northeastward late this week. "

That is good news.....

At the moment it is still heading south west and getting slightly stronger..hope your prediction is right. On its current track "she" looks like she could go down the island chain..

You need to consult this website for potential storm tracks:

I have been watching it intently as I am routing Dirk and Warlock sailing Catatonic50 towards Bermuda. Leslie has been sitting almost motionless for 4 days but appears to be strengthening and starting to move north.

Hurricane Leslie, as of 0900Z. But it's just a fish storm. Never been anything to worry about in the Caribbean with this one.
