Thinking about grabbing a ball at Kelly's Cove for our first night in April. Anyone stayed there that can share the experience?

Kellys Cove is a nice sheltered spot with good easy snorkelling. It is around the corner from the main Bight but still a comfortable dingy ride if you choose to go to Pirates.

It’s a great spot for the first night. It’s peaceful and the snorkeling is as good as Henry mentioned. We find that it is perfect to offset some of the stress of the travel day.

We found 5-6 balls in Soldiers Bay, nice and quiet there too.

One of my favorites, great sunset location. Note the yellow moorings are scuba diving balls, not overnight moorings. Seems like there were perhaps five white mooring balls, although one did not have a pennant last December. This is a great snorkel spot, especially small stuff near shore. Look for turtles in the grass up near the dive balls. Great for watching all the charter boats heading into the Bight, sometimes large yachts. An easy dinghy ride to the Caves. A little longer ride into the restaurant, but not bad.

Thank You for the responses. We were in the Bight on our last trip. Nice, lots of company. Kelly's looks like a good spot this time if we find an open ball. I also looked at Soldier and it's also on a short list. Is there a decent trail from Soldier to Pirates?
