Water-Toys - waht's too much ? - 05/14/2019 02:41 AM

On my way to my first BVI trip next month. Quick question about Water-Toys.

Was thinking of renting a SUP and a 2 person water kayak. Is it "too much" and will the boat be crowded. This is on a Moorings 4000.

Other recommendations / suggestions ?

Yes, it will be crowded. We rented two kayaks one year on a lagoon 450 and regretted it. They were a hassle to use. Get the SUP and some floatie mats and noodles.

Agree with Warren & Lcrich...1 or 2 sups, a couple of floating mats and noodles is perfect. the only thing we used the kayak for was at the baths to take gear in past dinghy line.

Sups at Setting Point Anegada is very nice

We also find big inflatables difficult to deal with - unless you like re-inflating them each day - ugh! We are also trying an improved version of inflatable SUPs this year to make dealing with them easier. We’ll see.
