Anniversary dinner?

Anniversary dinner? - 08/13/2019 05:49 PM

We’ll be down on our anniversary. The commodore has put up with me for 32 years on the 12th of September. With so many closures, I’m up in the air about where to take her for a special dinner.

We won’t be going to Anegada, or hands down, I’d just let Sam know, and as much as he’s made our trips fun over the years, I know he’d make it special for her ( that woman of mine makes friends wherever we go, and the second time we were there he greeted her by name, 9 months AFTER the first time!)

Any suggestions? The woman took a flyer on a Marine corporal with nothing to his name, and stood by me through deployments, and deployment recovery. I want to make this special. Doesn’t really matter which island, I can adjust the itinerary.

One idea maybe some knows of a place that could place a table on the beach for you near the waters edge for a special dinner.

We have some of our best meals at The Restaurant at Leverick Bay. However, I don't know if they close down for the off season.

How about a private chef?

Brandywine Estate or Rooftop.

Ok, so some good ideas. @ratmanswife, I actually thought about a private chef, but wanted to get off the boat, and sport her about on my arm. Dancing if possible, but I like the way you think! @Orange_burst, I’m pretty sure upstairs is closed : (. @JasonHeimbrcht, I’ll look into Brandywine.

Keep the ideas coming!

Maybe Chez Bamboo on VG can set you up on the beach? I did that many years ago at a long gone restaurant on the waters edge at Cruz Bay and it was memorable.

We did have a great dinner pre Irma at the Scrub restaurant but don't remember the name or if it's open then. Either way, good luck and congrats!

Did Scrub's restaurant for our 37 in Dec. Can't imagine they every close, especially since DYC is there now. Very nice dinner.
