One week!

One week and we'll be at Horizons picking up our cat for 10 days in the BVis! Woohoo! Having been twice before, we have. no sail plan and will just go where we decide on the giving day. Vacation, here we come!

10/9/ - 10/29 Arriving Tuesday, 10/8 and staying at Scrub Island.
We've never sailed for 3 weeks before. Should be interesting. By ourselves first and third week, our adult kids coming the second!

We'll be there Oct. 18-26 on a Moorings 514pc!

Actually we set sail on October 30 also. 10 days traveling around. We have a catamaran from Captains Compass again. Taking two couples with us who have never been to the BVI before.

What color is your VW Thing? I had an orange one back in the early 80s loved it. Had to sell it to pay my way to school. I’ve been looking for a replacement model ridiculous how much they are going for these days

Headed down October 16-26 on Salt Crush out of BVIYC. Looks like things are picking up again in the cruising crowd.

We’re on Moonshadow, it looks to be a bit bigger then the Lom Dee which was a Lagoon 38? We sailed with her and Captain Carol the last time we were there. We were planning on sailing again in the fall of 2017 but we all know how that went so now we’re back with more friends who’ve never been to the Caribbean. Planning 1 night on Norman Island, 3 nights on Anegada, 2 on VG and 2 in Great Harbor on Jost. The remaining 2 who knows.

My Thing is orange with a black hood and fenders..bought in 86 in California where it went South to North and down through Baja . We used it as a camera truck and it was prominent during the OJ Trial. If a rival TV show spotted it parked they figured we had another exclusive. So we'd park it and I'd jump in the camera truck to our real location!Now its cruising Tortola..only survivor in the BVI's! It's featured on the cover of my book "Manpot's Tales of the Tropics" parked outside the sadly missed Bomba Shack (Google Malcolm Boyes and it will pop up).

When we’re in CGB/Apple Bay I’ll keep my eyes open for it. Having dinner at Bananakeet on October 29th we’ll be driving by Bombas old spot.

BTW..nice to have a lady ask me the colour of My Thing these days.

Forgot to ask, is Willy T's still at Peter Island or has it moved back to The Bite?

Last I heard it’s back at Norman Island. We plan on being there the night of October 30th. I’ll be happy to buy a drink for anyone that can find me it’s my 57th birthday.

I haven't seen an announcement, but I'm sure Paradise Club will have a party for Halloween.

Ok, well we'll just have to live vicariously in the mean time because we're not heading down till March......trip reports please!
