VG spots closed for season

VG spots closed for season - 05/25/2022 11:48 AM

Hello,

Anyone know whether BEYC closes for the season and when they reopen? For example Saba reopens on October 16. Curious if BEYC has same type of thing. Also, any other places on VG also close for season?

Thanks in advance!

Yes. BEYC, Saba and Oil Nut Bay all will close sometime in early/middle of August and reopen in early/middle October. Dates vary a bit, but are relatively close.

For example, ONB is closed August 22nd to October 7th.

Leverick has stayed open in previous years.

Thanks for the response. Trying to decide between a couple nights on VG or Tortola. If most of the north sound is going to be closed might try Tortola but who knows.

When are you going and why are you going? The beaches will be there and you'll have them to yourself during the height of hurricane season. If you're hoping for a foodie vacation, another time of year would be better. It's not likely to be very different on Tortola.

We normally go in winter, but during the Irma rebuild we even went in September. Tourism is pretty dead then. The cruise ships have usually been moved to the Med (a big plus in my book).

Headed there in October. Spending some time on JVD and then want to spend 2-3 days on either VG or Tortola before heading back to STJ. As far as “why” we’re going - basically beaches and snorkeling and beach bars. Basically we like to beach early, maybe find somewhere for a late lunch, maybe some happy hour-time places, early dinner and bed. We are not foodies but I would like to just have some options while down there. I was going to stay at Leverick bc it seems like the north sound is a fun area. But if most places are closed I’m considering maybe a different part of VG or maybe Tortola. It’s our first time in the BVI so we’re pretty much open to whatever.

Lots to do in/around Cane Garden Bay all year. There will be closures for sure but with everything on Tortola, should be plenty of options. We will likely reopen for October. Reach out for more information.

Cheers.

We have stayed at Leverick perhaps 30 times that time of year. Rent a car for food and drinks. Coco Maya is likely to be open. Rose should keep her Chez Bamboo and Bath and Turtle open along with Fat Hogs, Top of the Baths and Mad Dogs. Others in the Valley will be open. You will have plenty of choices. Leverick pool bar is open.

The North Sound Bistro will be open in October and we are very near to Leverick and of course the rest of North Sound. We have a couple of beaches and a pool, some hammocks and a small marina so its a cool place to hang out for a day.

Thanks guys. That’s very helpful info. Sounds like there will be plenty of options, especially considering it will only be a few nights.
