Hurricane Ian's eyewall passed directly over the Dry Tortugas yesterday evening with 120mph winds, making it the first unofficial Florida landfall. Irma damaged some of the moat wall back in 2017, and that storm was about 100 miles to the east.

Wishing everyone affected by the storm the best.

Part of the seawall got taken out, damage to the docks, Bush Key and Long Key which are right out front got reshaped and Long Key is close to gone. This thing took some licks but it is a beast, around 170 years old!

I found some photos of it but I can't post them here for some reason at the moment.

It is open for tourism again
