Our new Lagoon 42, Sea Tiger, is in the water and on the way to BVI! After placing order nearly a year ago, it is a milestone...Very excited for her to be SAILING. After arriving in Tortola in late September , TMM will further commission her for charter. Complete withA/C and Generator.
We look forward to maiden voyage Oct 23rd. Our 2 sons are in school and will not be able to join us until school break.‎

Very exiting indeed. I hope she has a safe and uneventful trip on the crossing!

Life's short - sail more!

With Hurricane season in full bloom, certainly makes me a little anxious, however with attention to weather forecast and knowing TMM (and other charter companies) frequently do this, I am confident the professionals will deliver Sea Tiger safely... Hoping Mother Nature will cooperate with predictable paths and good spacing of systems

We have a brand new Helia 44 and a new Lucia 40 out there sailing the same course right now if it makes you feel any better.
Congrats on the new boat.

Way, Way to early to make any Atlantic crossing this year. The rule was once November 1st. Even the ARC is moving their dates closer to December 1st.

CaptainJay:
Like I said, many professionals (in the charter business) have boats making the same journey. Patience + Forecast+ Knowledge (+ extra dose of patience). (Or is it there are a lot of idiots out there;-)?
I do feel better knowing others are progressing across Atlantic.

Hurricane Center is forecasting near 0% development in next 48hrs and 30% within 5 days...

The weather forecasting, and especially the intermediate to long weather forecasting has become much improved over the past 10-15 years . Also the hurricane path prediction has progressively gotten better.
