Down, what does that mean? Is it not fixable? I could be wrong, often am, but I am not aware of anyone that still rents phones on island. I suspect he will have to just wait until Monday and go buy a phone there, if the old phone is totally not salvageable.

Can you just buy a local SIM card for the time you are on sxm? We did that travelling in Europe, it was super cheap, like €10.00 and we got 5GB of data and 200 min talking time. We were in Spain and walking/driving around Barcelona, Ibiza and Palma we were using google maps all the time. It was super handy.

I would suggest, after getting this same advice, go to Carrefour (old Grand Marche at the round about near Phillipsburg) and just inside the doors there is a tech phone place that makes solving the issues easy. Minimal cost, unless you have to purchase a new phone but even then not high priced from what I could see. Worked for me, had a few changes made and it cost me $5 for the service besides what I purchased for air time. Done

I prefer the Isle seat

Todd's advice is spot on. Tech Hub is great.
