I am helping move a Jeanneau 53 from the BVI to Key West late next week. Lots of info bringing boats down from Florida but little coming up from the BVI. Planning the old Bahama channel route. Anyone made the trip recently? Winds should be E to ENE most of the way but can’t find much on average currents. Covid is finally doing something good for me me and should reduce the cruise ship threat in the narrows. Any other thoughts?

George, still probably shipping traffic in the old Bahama Channel. Often Cuba will radio to interrogate you about your passage. Easy down hill run, usually spinnaker all the way. Usually USCG sits at either end of channel.
