Lots of short rain showers today with several downpours. We managed to get time on the beach and in the pool despite the rain. Ocean was on the cool side but after not being here for a year we didn't mind it. David bought a boogie board from The Scuba Shop on Airport road. Craig from Packlight dropped off our umbrella, we rented for the week and Angie from Magic of the Caribbean card also dropped our card off.

We went to the Yacht Club (SMYC) for lunch and immediately following our entrance it started to rain hard so we stayed in the dining area. We still had a good view of the marina and bridge although we weren't there during the bridge opening.

Two awesome Bloody Mary's with the cocktail shrimp. Three big shrimp, a celery stalk, 3 green olives and a peperoncino. Medium spiced which is how I like it. An order of fish & chips as well as grouper fingers. The grouper fingers would have been enough for the two of us or the order of fish and chips. We took home food for another day.

Took a ride to look around the Dutch side and winded up at Lagoonies for a cocktail. Not easy to find but we've been there before so it took a few passes down some side streets before we located it. It's on the marina so nice views and lots of seating. Parking can be tight but no worse than a lot of other places. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast starts at 8 am.

Before returning back to the villa I hopped out of car to make a reservation for dinner at the Greenhouse. Since Lees was packed last night we didn't want to take the chance of not getting a table tonight as it's Lobster night.

The Greenhouse in Simpson Bay also had a nice crowd tonight. I was a bit disappointment they only had 6 or 7 oz lobster tails (part of the crayfish family). In addition they had lobster from Saba but after having lobster last night I wanted a tail. It was ok, I've had much better there, it was on the dry side which was surprising because the larger tails have always been moist and succulent. David had the grill salmon which he enjoyed. It was another good evening with a glass of wine and finished with a cappuccino and house baked key lime pie. No service charge added.

Not sure if I mentioned it but Lees menu says service charge not added but it was and the waiter confirmed when I asked what was the amount written on bill before total. No problem because we ate a lot of great food and thought the price was very reasonable for what we ate and drank.

Returning back home we pulled into the lot where the Casino and old Alegra/Caravanserai, now called The Morgan. There is a food truck called the Sandbar with many picnic tables on the sand. Looks like a fun casual spot we hope to hit up one night. Live music each night.

For those staying in the Beacon area they've added a security booth with a manual bar the security guys raise and lower as you enter and depart in the evening. There is one man in the booth and another who stands outside with a clipboard, paper and pen. No one is there in the day so the bar/gate is in the up position. Unsure when they go on duty? We put down the window the last two evenings and told the guard holding the clipboard that we were staying at Beachside Villas and he smiled and let us through. The booth is a little passed where that abandoned plane in grass field was if you are heading away from Sunset.

Sounds like another great day for the books Louise. Sorry the weather was a little sketchy, but at least you made it to the beach and pool. Yesterday would've been the day we arrived, so that was on my mind all day, don't miss us too much, lol. The pics you sent of the bloodies at Yacht Club looked fantastic as always. I know how much you and David enjoy them. So glad you're having a great time. Looking forward to today's adventures there.

Louise sounds great.

Keep it coming and enjoy !!!!!

Greenhouse waiter said if we want prime rib we need to reserve a cut. They do prime rib specials Monday and Thursday nights.

Louise and David, is the umbrella from Packlight when folded small enough to fit into a Toyota Carolla ? I hope to rent from Packlight when I get there May 15. Thank you.
