Have you checked coverage? Many CC have ended collision coverage. What card do you use?
Correct. Of the cards I have, only 1 (maybe 2 but I have not checked) of the 4 I have offer coverage. This is also applicable to the US as well.

Which card still offers coverage? AA cards do not have coverage. My Cap One VISA is the only one I have that still offers coverage.

My Chase Sapphire Reserve has collision coverage. LINK to details. Limited to 31 days. And Chase Reserve offers Primary coverage. AMEX Platinum (last time I checked) offers secondary coverage. I have both cards and you really have to learn about both to utilize all the benefits to make it worthwhile. But we always use the Chase for car rentals.
