Does anyone know if there’s anywhere near Orient or Grand Case that does PCR tests? We’ll need one early Monday for a Tue flight back to Canada.

Grand Case Beach Club has a nurse that comes and does them from 8:30 - 9:30 am and you don’t have to be a guest of the hotel. We had ours done there last Friday. 45 euros per person (credit card accepted) and results back/printed within 10 minutes. Very easy.

This is a translation of the texting portion of this morning’s (11/18) update from the Prefét:

Current points:

• The PCR test activity, for French or foreign nationals, is carried out by the Biopôle Antilles (BPA) laboratory. It offers 2 sampling sites:
◦ A pedestrian drive, located at n ° 47 rue de la liberté (in the former premises of the LEPERS laboratory), it receives, without appointment, from Monday to Friday.
◦ A car drive, located at Hope Estate, which receives, by appointment, from Monday to Saturday.
The tests are carried out on the territory, making it possible to speed up the deadline for rendering results and guaranteeing a higher number of samples (up to 250 / day). These tests will remain unpaid for the insured persons until the end of the free provision for the comfort tests.
• In addition, antigenic tests are available from various health professionals in the area (pharmacies, doctors, nurses, etc.) allowing a proximity test offer to be offered.

My advice is to verify the information (and the turnaround time) before you actually need to get the test.

We used BPA for safe to fly PCR testing at Hope Estate on 16 Nov around 9am, results back by email around 9pm same day. All went smoothly, cost was ~89EUR. Our hotel had made an appointment for us a week or so in advance.
