I would be careful booking on Silver and only use a credit card.

Hopefully they are paying the rent in San Juan!

Since they were not paying in Florida and also owed the Virgin Islands port authority almost half a million I would suspect they are behind paying in San Juan also. It’s hard however given the current fares on some of the SJU routes to not be making huge profits.

I have a booking with them on April 28th back to SJU. Came in on intercaribbean. Most miserable flight ever . Absolutely no room for my knees so had to sit sideways. How does the FAA allow airlines to configure planes with no room between seats.

The FAA does not regulate seat pitch. The norm is 31 to 33 inches. I suspect both Silver and Intercaribbean are running 28 or 29. It’s doable for 1 hour. Beyond that it’s agony. My company once booked me on a 2 hour flight in Europe on a low cost carrier. Probably a 29” pitch. I am 5’9” and it was agony.

Our December Silver flight was fine, especially as the rollaboards fit above the seats. Next trip down we're booked on the direct flight to Tortola.

RatmansWife - are they flying the larger ATR's on the SJU-EIS route now? Based on your statement above, does that mean they accommodate "full-size" rollaboards overhead?

We flew Silver on 4/3 EIS to SJU. Larger ATR and yes, accommodated our full size carry-ons. You do have to be able to carry them up the stairs. When we got to SJU, we also had stairs to negotiate. Several of the more elderly passengers had to ask for help from the younger passengers.

friends travelling from Denver on AA with SJU-EIS code share with Silver lost their checked bags. Got 2 of the bags 24 hours later. still missing the 3rd bag. Its been 48 hours and we still have no idea when bag will arrive. AA not helpful. Ugh! That said, we are thinking this may not be Silver as the AA flight they were on was delayed 3 hours. Other than that, Silver was fine...on time....plenty of room in the over head bins on the ATR (although larger roller boards are really tough to fit and some folks had to check them as they were boarding.
