First time flying through Charlotte on AA. I think I must have a flight delay cloud hanging over me. Four recent trips and all have had flight delays. We are delayed about 99 minutes now. Hopefully we take off at 10:40 am. Two weeks in paradise awaits. First time bringing our 10 month old granddaughter--can't wait to share the island with her!

Good idea to start the child early in life to enjoy toes in the sand and water of SXM

We departed about 90 minutes late. We started the journey flying from Columbus so no worries about missing the connection. Arrival was a breeze. We were sent to the booth rather than the kiosks and were literally out of the airport in 20 minutes. The longest stretch was walking from the plane to the terminal carrying a 10 month old!

Visited Carrefour and loaded up on food and drinks. Everyone was pretty tired after the travel day. We stay at Divi so takeout from one of their restaurants was dinner.

Getting settled today and enjoying our granddaughter's first "toes in the sand" experience.

Our daughter arrives shortly on the jet blue from JFK flight. Hopefully her airport experience will be a breeze too. Speaking of breezes--delightful breeze at the beach today!
