Coming back for 8th bareboat - have flown into STT and taken ferry to BVI and flown into EIS but have never spent time in the USVI -- would like to spend a couple of nights in USVI on our 10-day trip in Sept 2016 -- All aboard will be US citizens with US passports -- Cost seems to be about the same -- more expensive to fly DFW-EIS but suitable available bareboat cats for our group including all insurance etc is greater at CYOA than where we usually
charter -- all other things being equal is C & I usually better chartering in USVI then in/out of BVI or vice versa -- we have experienced C&I in CA on a crewed charter but not ourselves on a bareboat... We have experienced C&I in West End coming to bareboat with Dolphin as water taxi from STT (Old rules -- really worth it)
Would appreciate any thoughts....

Thanks

what specifically are you asking? To us C&I are a non issue.

As far as C&I is concerned, it doesn't really matter where you start. Only difference it MAY make is if you charter in the USVI and enter the BVI, I think the charges are higher perhaps? I'm not sure though as we haven't done this.

It cost our group of 8 under $20 to leave the BVI and the same to return.

As much as we would love to have you back. We don't charter in September and very little is open. You might want to rethink those dates.

Thanks for your replies -- prior posts led me to think in/out was easier from/to either the usvi or bvi.

We almost always start in the USVI.
Leaving from Charlotte Amalie we can be on Jost clearing into customs in about 2.5 hours.
