Former Caravanserai resort timeshare owners are becoming aware that the door is open to join the group of other former Caravanserai owners litigating against Alegria, the entity that took over the resort and attempted to declare all timeshare contracts null and void. A number of them are joining but the door closes October 15.

The group, named TOCA, beat Alegria in court. Alegria is expected to appeal but the view of many is that TOCA has an excellent chance to prevail.

If you "owned" timesharing at Caravanserai and did not sign the form Alegria emailed, you ought to consider joining this group.

And if you owned timesharing at Caravanserai and did sign that form, contact Lexwell attorneys in SXM. It seems to us that Alegria's mailing of that form may not have followed due process. If so, it may have been illegal. If that's the case then victims might be able to have it overturned in court in SXM.

As he said, I can attest that Jeff Berger does not have any affiliation with TOCA. Back in October, 2014 when some (but not all) timeshare owners received an email nulling and voiding their lease agreements, Jeff extended an offer to provide a Facebook page so that unit owners could find each other on social media. That's it, period.

I have no affiliation with the group that is litigating. Sorry if that wasn't clear. I post all the news I get there and in SXM Weekly News. I set up that group when this mess happened as a point where timeshare owners could talk, but there were never as many signups as I (or others) hoped. JMB is a business like any other.

And lately I've been trying to get the word out about the deadline. The next SXM Weekly News (comes out tomorrow because of the Monday holiday) again stresses that the deadline is almost here. If you know of any Caravanserai timeshare owners please make sure they get the message.
