We have heard several people speak about tide pools that are fun to go see. Does anyone know where they are located and how to get there? We have been going to SXM for a while but have not heard of these before.

Leaving Saturday and will have 5 young men from our son's fraternity with us.

Perhaps they're speaking of some of the beaches at Cupecoy but that's just a guess on my part. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

Go past Point Blanche and to the end of the road by the sea a walk along the trail or you can walk from the south end of Guana Bay. It is between Point Blanche and Guana Bay on the coastal trail. Wear good shoes and there is no shade along the route. Look on google earth.

The Southern end of Coconut Grove has a number. Some are on the shore of the Baie de l'Embouchure and some are behind the first row of vegetation. I have seen a whole bunch of little critters like baby octopi, crabs, fish and other creatures. Once a member of our hiking group stepped into one that was very murky and started to sink into it. It was just like one of those old jungle movies. We managed to pull her out but she lost her go-aheads. We continued on and on our way back, lo and behold, there they were floating on top.

I have a photo take there but I can't find it. It's really nice and worth the hike.
