Employee's hrs. for EHAS approvial form - 11/27/2020 08:09 PM

Hello All,
Does anyone know how early and how late the people that approve your EHAS form . Do they work all hours or do they have set hours .
Thank you

Re: Employee's hrs. for EHAS approvial form - 11/27/2020 08:16 PM

Jeff,

We They seem to work all sorts of hours. We had approvals and advisements, not to mention refusals of only my application that came anywhere from in the middle of the night to the very early morning hours and normal daytime work hours, too. I just spent two days going back and forth with them not to mention three phone calls to SXM to get our approvals. The nonsense we went through was unbelievable but the third phone call this morning seemed to be the charm and now we are good to go.

Or maybe they just got tired of dealing with that crazy lady from CT?

I don’t know the number but it was the Sint Maarten phone number on one of the EHAS pages. It’s in yellow print and hard to read but it was answered during normal working hours and I could not get through last evening after 7:30 our time yesterday which was NOT a holiday in Sint Maarten.

If it wasn’t for you, Kim, we probably would NOT be making this trip. Your tenacity and drive really did make this happen!

Re: Employee's hrs. for EHAS approvial form - 11/28/2020 01:48 PM

Thanks Scubaman ,
But you just gota roll with the punches sometimes . A lot more thing have happened in our lives , worst then this .
It is now Saturday Morning @ 8:40 our flight was to leave @ 8:35 . Just checked my e-mail and my wife nor I have not gotten out test back .
We could not get a rapid test in the 48 hr. time limit because of the holiday . Plus that didn't start for SXM until Nov. 25 and we had already had our PCR test two days before . Though we would be OK in the 120 hr
Time frame .
Most expensive trip I never took !!!! LOL Jeff

I'm so sorry it didn't work out for you!

It just doesn't make sense, everyone has a different story.

So many have sent in identical applications and one gets turned down.

It seems it has a lot to do with luck and who receives it.

I hope we see you in April----we have our fingers crossed and saying a few prayers. frown

We rescheduled for April 16 to May 2 . I'm told the third time is the charm!! LOL Also feel sorry for the owners of the villa . We were going to rent it
last April , then everything shut down . And then the same villa for our first week of this trip . Don't know if the owners want us to rent it in April ..... We might be bad luck !!!

Crazy. Where did your test results go?? My parents got their results back almost overnight. My husband same day different place took 3 days. And an employee day prior and still hasn’t gotten his! Seems like it is a crap shoot!

Re: Employee's hrs. for EHAS approvial form - 11/28/2020 05:42 PM

We got the test on Mon.Nov.23 through Lancaster General . They send them out to Quest . It is now 12:40 PM on Saturday Nov.28 and I just checked on my LG Health account .
And there still is no notification yet . I will keep an eye on it . Because it now has become a game ! LOL Jeff

As I understand they work 24-7. Had no problem getting ok back within a couple of hours.
We have been here for over 2 weeks and still have one more to go.
We had no trouble getting in from Tennessee.
Had test one day and got results less than 24 hours later and filled out the forms and got ok in less than an hour for me and wife within 6 hours.
So sorry about your plans.

Re: Employee's hrs. for EHAS approvial form - 11/29/2020 01:07 AM

Sorry you folks couldn't make it work Jeff,
We just got declined by the EHAS site, for a handwritten/typed report. Not sure what we're going to be able to do, as the rapid test we used and that is on the approved list, the BD Veritor does not generate a lab report like a PCR does. I called the number listed above (thank you!) and spoke to a lady that directed us to send an email to EHAS@sintmaartengov.org and explain the situation. Just sent them the story. The Doctor that performed our test also gave her contact info in the event EHAS wants to contact her for further info, verify, etc. Supposed to fly Monday morning...keeping our fingers crossed.

Here is the kicker , The game continues ...... We are on our 6th day and still no results .... 4 out of 8 people still have not gotten their tests back .
I know one thing I will go to jail before I pay for that test ...... See you all in the slammer !!!

Unbelievable but unfortunately believable.

Re: Employee's hrs. for EHAS approvial form - 11/29/2020 03:18 AM

Based on what we saw at the testing site around us last week, it seemed like they were slammed due to people trying to get tested before Thanksgiving. I was in and out of this same place in early November within 5 minutes, but it would have taken hours last Monday. I assume the results may be as backed up as the actual testing.

Re: Employee's hrs. for EHAS approvial form - 11/29/2020 11:18 AM

Jeff, I am so sorry it didn’t work out for you.

For what it’s worth, my doctor wrote scrips for both of us and we went to a local Covid testing lab affiliated with our hospital but you can only go there with a scrip from what I understand. Because it was Thanksgiving week with lots of travelers and a day less to do it all in, I was very skeptical about getting our results back in time but in the end we tested at 1:30 Tuesday and my doctor (he actually called me himself) called Wednesday around noon with the results and that’s where the problems started.

We submitted both apps to SXM EHAS Wednesday afternoon. They came back within the hour as ‘under review’ and a few hours later, DH came back as accepted and mine denied. So we resubmitted the same app again. Second time denied, too. So I emailed them and they said we didn’t send my lab approval. Submitted again. Thursday morning I was denied so we called and were told to resend one more time. Waited till Friday morning and denied again, this time because they said I was ‘showing symptoms’ along with a positive test read and no medical insurance, all of which were wrong. Called SXM again and a different person said to start over and resubmit a completely new application. This was the charm and finally, within an hour I was approved.

But trust me in this, had I been doing it myself I would have completely given up after the third submission. Thank heavens for adult kids and grandkids. W/o them I’d still be sitting in CT pouting!

Pat--wow, that's pretty scary. Not sure whose application they were looking at, but it sure wasn't yours!

Hope yesterday was smooth sailing??

Re: Employee's hrs. for EHAS approvial form - 11/29/2020 02:33 PM

OMG, Pat I was looking for a post saying you arrived and all things are wonderful!!!

I didn't know --thank goodness for family and bottom line, you made it!!!!!

Rit and I took tests Wednesday and still have heard nothing. (5 days! It's a good thing we aren't traveling.)
My sister took a test Friday and the results went to her portal, for her doctor's office the next day!!

Okay, tell us about sxm and BSV . smile smile

Re: Employee's hrs. for EHAS approvial form - 11/29/2020 02:55 PM

Hey Pat .
Sunday Morning ...... No test back yet for my wife or myself . Only good thing is since it is soooooooooooo late , we were never in the game ..Guess I
would have been quite pissed if we would have missed the time frame by just a small amount of time . As of this morning there is still 4 of us that have not gotten out tests back .
So now we have a game we play . The winner of the game is the last person that gets his/her results back wins. We all have to buy that person a drink !!!
Got'ta love it. LOL Jeff

Jeff, I hope they figure this out soon!!

Maybe we will all see each other in April, without having to test first!!!

Re: Employee's hrs. for EHAS approvial form - 11/29/2020 10:07 PM

Jeff,
Something to consider as you said you got tested at a hospital via your Doctor. My Doctor's office told me that the lab sends the results back to their office and they have to post it to their "portal". Does not go direct to portal from the lab.
You might what to check with your Doctors office on Monday to see if and when the results are in.
Good luck.

Re: Employee's hrs. for EHAS approvial form - 11/30/2020 02:54 AM

Hi GaryB,
We have a web site directly through the local hospital called MY LGHealth . So we will actually get the results before our Doctor does .
Just got an email from two of the people that were going .They both got their results on Sunday night . So now we are at 8 out of 10 people got their test pack . ( even thought all were to late ) That means the only people that are left in the game
are my wife and I . And this is at 9:50 on a Sunday night .

Gomer, Were you able to solve this riddle? It is 1 AM and we are in the exact same situation with the BD Veritor and our flight leaves in 14 hours.

Re: Employee's hrs. for EHAS approvial form - 12/10/2020 10:15 PM

Have you made and looked on a quest account? Quest has a very easy portal. Realized this was old after I posted. But wonder if the results had shown up there earlier.
