Shark off Sandy Ground - 12/13/2020 09:57 PM

A friend just sent me a video of a shark sighting this morning off Sandy Ground. Not sure if it’s legit or not.

I don’t know how. It’s basically a fin cruising around slowly very close to shore.

There is a full proof way of seeing if sharks are in the water. Stick your index finger in the water, taste it. If not salty, there are no sharks. If salty, there are sharks in the water.

I've logged close to 300 dives in st maarten waters and can count on one hand the times I didn't encounter sharks on my dives. They are always out there.

The video is so shaky and unclear, I have no idea what it's showing. What is the other thing in the water, behind the 'shark'?

I thought it might have been another smaller one. I was also wondering if this was taken around the same day a Tiger shark had washed up on Plumb Bay Beach that I posted on another thread and has a connection.

We have been staying in Port St. Lucie Florida for the past 3 winters. We stay in a community on the St. Lucie River, probably 4 or 5 miles up river from the ocean. The water there is considered Brackish. I know that Bull Sharks come at least that far up to give birth. So I am not surprised that they can survive in fresh. There are Fresh Water Stripe Bass too.
