My guess is that no one here has enough info to make an informed comment on whether it is a good thing...
Empirical evidence would suggest that it can't be bad.

How can it be bad, the progress on the airport has been abysmal? It probably should have happened some time ago.

I remember a post from a few months ago which said that the World Bank had threatened to pull financing if Mingo was fired.

If he was dismissed for "non-performance" than he did not live up to his contractual obligations. If he's smart, he will walk away and be happy with the money he has made from his employment with PJIA.

It seems that pretty much everything is, these days. I do wonder what is going on, that the reconstruction of the airport should NOT be taking this long...
