Day 9

Day 9 - 05/03/2021 12:50 PM

Sunday. Awoke to find the hill at Fort Amsterdam covered with colorful flags and tents. Later we found out that there was a series of running races today, a 5K, a 10K and 20K. On our walk to Divi we encountered sweaty competitors cooling down. Divi's parking lot was jammed packed with cars and vans. It looked like a lot of people were having fun and enjoying themselves.

It was another beautiful day with light winds appearing to be ENE and creating a very calm beach. Despite how many times we've been here we cannot get over the fact, especially on calm days, how beautiful, blue and clear the water is here. It's like a pool but soooo much better. Simply amazing.

After watching the F1 race from Portugal, yeah Lewis, we spent the day soaking and basking.

Lunch was pizza and Penne Alfredo leftovers and then more swimming.

For dinner we decided to give Chesterfield's another try and yeah they were open. We went early and got a nice table just as the sun setting over the hill. I had Baked Shrimp and the wife had her precious Scallops. (She revels in these because I will not eat them or cook them so she rarely gets them. Especially this good and fresh.) Really liked Chesterfield's. Good staff, relatively small and generally more intimate then The Greenhouse. It looks like we found a new place to frequent. With all the great reviews over the years not sure why we had not been there before.

Yes, staying at Belair, surprised you had never been there before. We haven't been there for a long time, because it's kind of a haul from Simpson Bay. Too many restaurants, too little time!

Yes the only reason I can think of is the fear of getting too close to the cruise ship dock. Ha ha!
