there is a market in Marigot. I bleive the fish market is open on Tues and Thurs but i may be wrong. The fish is fresh caught and usually cleaned on the boat as it is being brought to the market

We have gone down to the dock by Captain Oliver's and bought fresh fish from the boats coming in there for a very good price when we stayed on the French side. They used to come in about 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday evenings. It was only about 30 minutes from the boat to the table straight off the grill! You can't get anything fresher than that!

Make sure you get there early, early.....they are in the permanent booths with red roofs....facing the water.....kate <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/canada.gif" alt="" />

The fishing boat does not come into Oyster Pond anymore, unless they have started again recently. I know that they didn't when we last visited the island last February.

what kind of fish, pretty broad answer. Pot fish, Mahi, Snapper, or Tuna, all prices vary widely

Not paying taxes from what I heard. The boat was seized and sold out of St. Martin.
