What did you have that was so good? We ate there a few days ago and it was the worst meal we have had on this island in 27 years.

Most gnocchi here is bought premade... Don't know about theirs.

Ate at Maito's last evening, the service was great perhaps because we were the only 6 people in the restaurant. One person had veal scallopine that was not cooked. I had eggplant parm that was very greasy , the steak was 50gms off the prix fixe and was very good and three people had the gnocchi and they enjoyed it. Very mixed review. Do not often eat Italian on the island so I would not go back here prefer to try the other newly mentioned restaurants . In fairness they did take the veal off of the bill.

This restaurant seems to be a ''miss''. Uncooked shrimp??? Greasy egglpant????? For a new restaurant it sounds like it will be closed in no time. SMH... And to boot it sounds like it was dead in there too. no excuses!!! This is one I will miss in March.

Last time I checked, eggplant parm is not shrimp, but it sounds like perhaps they are having a few growing pains and it might be wise to wait a bit before trying this restaurant. It is hard to get everything right when you first open up. I honestly don't have any idea how hard it is to get a credit card account set up in SXM, but if a restaurant wants to be relatively high end, they have to accept credit cards.

They already lost their chef. He went back to Italy so they are training a new chef form a yacht. But like Carol said, if they want to be high end, they need to take credit cards. I see them on Facebook but the menu is in French. What's that all about? An Italian restaurant on the Dutch side putting out the menu in French. Seems to be making some bad decisions, I'd say

That's actually kind of funny to me--An Italian restaurant on the Dutch side, with a menu in French!! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" /> I have to assume the menus in the restaurant are in English.. ...or maybe Italian?? <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" />
