I wondered if there are fireworks anywhere on July 4th. I figured not since its an American holiday, but thought I would ask

Actually, yes there are normally fireworks on SXM because of so many tourists, I guess. Normally there are fireworks at Maho, on Great Bay, and on Orient..

Interesting.. we haven't booked yet but are looking at leaving the 3rd. We like the Flamingo- do you think you'd be able to see the fire works at Maho from there? then again... going could be fun!

I can't imagine that you couldn't see the fireworks at Maho from Flamingo.

I'm being stupid huh? I mean you can see the airport! now that I think about it... it might be fun to be at Sunset's... Is Cupecoy near there? are there bars there?

can anyone share anything about the parade at orient? couple of questions are, is there music? is everyone nude? are clothed people welcome to participate and/ or watch? what time does it start??? thanks

I just got email from Cheri's.. they said they're unaware of any fireworks around Maho... suggested I try philipsburgh. but they do have a special show with US music and characters
