As someone said a picture is worth a thousand words. Not the best photo but one of the first...

I guess I am another one who doesn't get how to add photos!

For reasons unknown, I'm not getting the picture, and the dialogue box itself is huge on your post. Am I doing something wrong?

I tried to follow those instructions with my last post...I don't give up easily so expect more attempts! Photos can really tell a great story.

It helps if you're relatives are from Wheeling instead of Pittsburgh

Simply right click on the picture and choose copy URL. Then paste that into the TTOL code.

I clicked on your link opening up your photo page, upper right corner is a Share Links feature, left clicked inside of the IMG option that starts with URL, it turns yellow for a second and says "copied" then paste it in your post. I removed everything before and after the [IMG] brackets.

Not the greatest quality, but favorite(s) because ALOHA as we knew it exists no more, but hopefully the great, fun staff will return when it's re-built, GREAT DAY!..........

Being a Friday Fish Eater, I had to laugh when I saw this.
All those damn nights I worked Bingo with kids in Catholic Schools.
They have it wired in SXM and that is why it is my favorite.



I know I posted this before... but I do like it.

But on more serious side...

If I had to pick one, astropilot's "sunrise" is my favorite. I love the unique colors of sunrise/sunset

I could not agree more. Here is the CG Cutter Eagle departing P'burg. That boardwalk offers great views.

Wow, what a great pic! I remember last year (or the year before??) seeing the Eagle come in while we were on island. We didn't get nearly that close, so my pictures weren't nearly as good, but it is a nice memory..

My son was stationed on the Eagle and was on the boat when I snapped the picture as it pulled out of SXM headed to Aruba in May of 2013.

He is now married stationed in Yorktown and is a father. His son, Thomas was the star of the blog I did back in May, Thomas Takes a Vacation.

OK, yes, I also remembered your son was on the Eagle, and I guess that is correct, it was two years ago, not last year.

I posted this one before but it's one of my favs.
I always spend a day or more at PJA whenever we go back to St. Martin.

Great photo, been on the eagle several times here in Ct and all around New England, she is quite a ship for the newbies to learn seamanship. 10 years ago. Wish I had better pictures of the old airport. I liked that place.

Gotta say, I miss Cafe Juliana and whatever the name was of the little bar where you could go OUTSIDE for a final bit of sun and a liquid libation, before heading back to the cold north. Otherwise, I miss it not at all.

I miss the old upstairs bar/restaurant in the old airport.

The old place just felt so familiar and unlike the experiences I get from flying around the USA and the world.

Not sure where HE is talking about. I am talking about the one on the first floor, where you would go outside after you were through security. I think they had food, but can't remember what. I know they had drinks. I remember many times going out there for a last shot of sunshine before getting on the plane..

I was referring to the one up stairs in the old airport back in the late nineties.

Nope not a writer - Grammar and spelling totally escape me. The invention of the computer has helped, but I still get lost in the world of semi-colons and diagramming sentences.

my style is more like e e cummings - no caps or punctuation they are only there to allow people to know when it is time to breathe and somehow i figured that out with or without a comma or period a long time ago i think that is why I like to take pictures <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

Honestly, I am dyslexic and ambidextrous… so I do things backwards and it makes sense to me or I just compensate for it. In fact, I love driving on the left side of the road in an American Car in the Virgin Islands. The turns and traffic loops just make more sense. It can be very ungood when I come home.

BTW – today is USCG 225th Birthday. Give a Coastie a hug or hand shake. Semper Paratus!

Great idea! It has probably been 30 years since we were up there. Beautiful country in the entire Canadian Rockies.

It is THE most beautiful place I've ever been and THE most romantic. Had afternoon tea in that lodge beside the lake and can't imagine how great it would be to stay there. Also took a row boat out on the lake.

Also it's neat to do the ski lift near there and to see Lake Louise from the top of a nearby mountain.

Now you are forcing me to go into the attic and look for the old pictures (or slides) from the area. Thanks for giving me another place that I really want to go back to!!!
