Anyone else get a weird email from Yolanda? Guessing its a scam email, says she's in the Philippines, was robbed and needs money. Pretty common type of scam but can anyone let her know it's going around with her name (assuming it is NOT TRUE).
I recently sent reservation request, so guessing that's why I'm getting it?!?

It definitely sounds like a scam! Call her at home and confirm. 313-884-7706

Someone else sent me a note about it, although I personally haven't received it. It is obviously a scam, and perhaps not even from her email at all, which would be impossible to tell without seeing the headers of the email. There is no need to reply to the email, as IF her email has been hacked, the hacker will receive the reply also. I'm sure someone has called her by now, but if you are concerned, you can call the Michigan number and leave a message or let her know.

edit--I just saw it in my spam filter and it's actually not even from her email address. Regardless, unless you want to call and leave her a message, I would ignore it for sure.

It definitely sounds as though her email has been hacked and someone is sending spam to her contacts. I'm guessing I had basically the same message but having read your question and seeing her name in the header in my spam folder, I deleted it without opening.

This type of spam has been making the rounds again and again over the past few years.....think you're safe to hit 'delete' and be done with it. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

I sent a message a little while ago to a close friend of hers. Poor lady doesn't need this.

Carol is right, it's not Yolanda's email address. It appears to be, but it's @yahoo.com and Yolanda's is AOL.com

Grrr!! I got it as well. Went to spam. Addy was something like "realitychek123"

Have received the same type of email regarding someone at The Towers, purportedly being stranded in Spain. The "W" in Towers addy was two V's!
Called her and she said she wishes she was on a trip to Spain! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />
