For those that love the sunrise in St. martin

Tried a couple of ways, could never get to the photo at all.

Bill save the image and the used his photobucket account to link to it. You were linking the webpage not the photo. I was able to open the photo in a new tab and then link to it. You had to right click on the photo and get the properties. That gives you where the actual photo is located, then you can post it. Here is from your album.

We mostly all know what a sunrise fan I am but OMG! What an absolutely gorgeous sunrise that was!! Thanks for the post, Bob, and for fixing the link, Bill and Eric. I just copied your link and downloaded it into my photobucket account and posted it.

Pay It only lasted in this color for a few minutes while the sun was coming up on the horizon. Before the sun came up you could see Venus, Saturn and Mars really close together. Check it out tomorrow morning! 5:30 AM Even with the naked eye you could see that Mars was red. Right now a spectacular thunderstorm. My little Sophie is shitting a brick.

I wish I was on island and could check it out tomorrow, but soon. If you aren't a sunrise/early morning person, you'd be surprised at how quickly the colors happen and then fade away to daylight. And btw, I'm LOL at that last comment of yours. Pat, you don't have to be in St. Martin to see it. It's the same in the sticks of Connecticut

Just go out side at 5 AM or just before dawn and look up and a little east. You will still be able to see it even just after dawn for a few minutes before the sky gets too bright.

Big bright white spot is Venus

Smaller white spot a little lower is Jupiter and lower than Jupiter is a small red spot Mars.

They are in a pretty straight diagonal line and pretty close together. Mars is about twice the distance below Jupiter as the distance between Venus and Jupiter.

You can't miss it.

If you have binoculars so much the better but you can see the planets and the red of Mars very well with the naked eye.

Remember when looking at them that we have had spacecrafts go to all three and a few landings on Mars.
