Ok...so this is TOTALLY rumor but according to my tennis partner who is an MD in Washington there was talk of a medical tourism facility to be built in that area and the open lot next to it.
The only reason it was mentioned to me was I mentioned that La Bamba was closed (at the time it was) so he relayed what he had heard.
It's a get-your-surgery-and-hang-out-at-the-beach kinda place....
No flaming needed...only rumor

Actually, that possibility (medical tourism facility) has been talked about for a couple of years now.

Right, that has been talked about for quite some time. The timing of all of this is just weird though.
