Evening Entertainment - 03/13/2016 08:36 PM

Looking for suggestions for music in the evenings. We are not late nighters but do like a good band or lounge like entertainment. Please share your favorites and what night you are able to catch the entertainment.

BBB has a singer several nights a week
La Vista has a singer a couple of nights for dinner
There is a small place across the street/parking lot from the Red Piano bar that has a singer in the evening several nights

All in the Simson Bay Area

We were going to try Captain Frenchy's a couple of weeks ago, but the sign out front said they were not open for dinner. What nights are they open?

We will be in SXM April 4-12, staying in Nettle Bay this trip. Last September we stayed in Orient village. We usually ended up at the Perch for happy hour & stayed in the village the rest of the night after our first night of driving the island was a little unnerving. We'd like to try to venture out a little more this trip for some evening music. This thread is helpful to know where to go. Thanks! Does entertainment on the island start at a reasonable time or are we talking 10pm? (Showing my age...lol) <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />

I would say, on the average, most entertainment begins around 8 pm. Of course, there are exceptions. Papaguyos starts around 7 and stops at 10.

I think the calmos cafe in grand case started their music around 7 o'clock.

Thank you! That is helpful information. Papaguyos (and all of club o) was closed during our last trip. We loved that trip but are looking forward to see what is different about this time of year. I wish Harmony nights continued into April!

My understanding is that Harmony Nights goes into April as someone sponsored an extra week in January & into April so it could run longer.

Great singer at Cugini's Monday to Saturday. Also we've had great times at La Main Plate at the Marina Royale, on Sunday nights. Not sure of the nights but The Rendezvous in Puerto Cupecoy.

The Sunset Bar and Grill used to have bands on many nights. Not sure what they have since the renovations.
