There was a fire in the building next door that might have disrupted power to SSBC.

Why do you hear the planes land before you see them on screen?

Sound travels at 1100 feet per second. Unless the plane is at mach 1 you will hear the sound before the plane comes in the picture

It very well could be lag. Audio streaming faster than video. Just a theory.

There is about a 15 second delay in the video. When we were there a couple of weeks ago I was watching n the planes land from our balcony and seeing them land about 15 seconds later on the webcam.
