trip report april 2 to 16

if you dont want to read the whole thing i will sum it up right now...perfect as always but with one blip

flight on the 2nd was delayed due to weather over the atlantic, took a route down the coast and banged a left and smooth going. we ran into a friend later that day who took jetblue out of logan and they flew through the weather and said it was like driving in boston in february.

checked into divi, given keys...wait, no buzzer? the room was ready. That NEVER happens! spent the rest of the say at divi. grounds looked good and caught up with our friends that work there. Perfect day!

Day 2... woke up, went for a walk, came back and oh no...my kindle is gone and so is my kids tablet! who would think both doors on the slider open, i only locked the right side and the left side was unlocked. Went to report it and then off to Le Croisanterie for Bfast not letting a little lost technology ruin my trip, great as always then off to Le galion to enjoy the beach and catch up with Pat and the crew. Funny thing happened, ran into a friend and turns out they were having a BBQ further down the beach so perfect got to see them too.

Back to Divi and out to dinner. To be honest i really dont know where we went. must have been good or i would remember.

Day 3... went to to po po station to file a report, good god that took forever, all for something i wont see again. Wont do that again. Went back to divi an hung out for the day. wasted way too much time at the station. went to dinner at karakter. Wifes was good, they over cooked my mahi. All together decent though

day 4...then off to Le Galion again, veronique was making my pepercorn sauce for the ribeye! great day at the beach and of course drank, i think i forgot to add that to day 1, 2 and 3, just assume going forward that drinking was a daily event.

Ocean 82 for dinner, awesome as usual. Got done just in time for the harmony night parade.

Day 3...went to pinel today. Hot as usual but was a great time. the water was perfect. Man does that place set you back a few bucks though. Back to divi. Went to dinner at Le Escargot which was very good. He is definetly trying to sell it. All but offered it to us. Sad, it is a landmark, hope someone buys it and keeps it just the way it is!

Ok, brains is hurting and eyes burning from all this computer looking and trying to remember what exactly we did on what days. I will finish later!

Are you still here or home? I am so sorry to hear about your personal belongings being stolen - that is a heartbreaker. Many years ago my SIL had a gold chain that I had given him for Christmas stolen and one of the girls - a fifty dollar bill. This happened at the original Mullet Resort and the thing is, the room was all locked up but they had to bring o/s service people in to fix our ac and I can only think that was the connection. In all our years before and since we have NEVER lost as much as a dime that way.

sadly i am home Pat. I'm not worried about the stuff personally. It happens and could happen at home. Was surprised that both sides of the door opened though. usually the left is a fixed window.

Was a great trip and looking back at what i wrote i think i might have reversed a couple of day but the gist is still there! thanks for the kind words! Funny thing. I am wearing my c'est lavie shirt and sandles at work today!

Is the dock at Divi finished? Heard they were going to offer boat into P'Burg.

funny thing about that. The dock was just about done but wasnt built right so they had another company come in and remove and replace all the decking! Only in St. Maarten! They were framing for new concrete on Fri and Sat so should be done by the end of this week.

the plan is to have sunset and dinner cruises leave out of there instead of down at simpson

Thanks for the report. Ashame about your laptop. What is the status of Pat's. Heard they were tearing down/cleaning up old resort there?

thanks for the kind wishes all. Pat is still fighting what they are trying to do to him. He has alot of validity to his claims of his right to be there so it isnt over yet. THey are planning on tearing down the old resort and they want him out so they can tear him down and rent it to someone just as they did with the orient situation. they cant charge him rent so they need him gone first.
