Orient at night, options other than orient village

Orient at night, options other than orient village - 06/06/2017 05:08 PM

Could anyone provide options for our night 1 dinner and drink in the Orient area other than the orient village options? Due to early flights, we expect to be tired and want to be close to our villa, yet want to go out and celebrate a birthday in a lively environment. And I fully understand the safety concerns of being out after dark in the area. Much thanks in advance! This is going to be a slow 27 days coming up!

oops meant outside of the courtyard restaurants around Le Piment and La Table D'Antoine etc. I'm hoping for somewhere lively for my wife's 45th the day we arrive that is within stumbling distance of our villa behind kakao.

La Playa used to be open for dinner in the high season but I am not sure if they are now. Worth checking into. Also L'Astrolabe is excellent thought I am not sure I would call it lively.

I'm kind of still not sure I understand what you're trying to say, but Yellow Sub is there by Petite Casino, which is still in Orient Village. It's very casual, burgers and sandwiches, etc. Pretty sure they are open in the evening. Don't think that LaPlaya would be open in the evening now. Astrolabe would be open in the evenings, but it's probably a little further than the Village.

You have L'Astroble at Esmeralda and Cafe Plantation. Both are high end with nice ambiance and good food.

Astrolabe is terrific and romantic, but it definitely is not lively. Le Pimente has a fairly happy atmosphere. It's fun. La Playa is only open for a special event, like a Friday night bar-b-que like occurred when we were there a couple weeks ago.

Le Piment is in Orient Village.

I am unsure what they mean by lively? There's no dancing and depending on evening some do have music if that counts.

Only tapas at night. We were there in high season and they showed us a small tapas menu. We asked on several different nights and were told the same. It wasnt varied enough so we passed on staying
