Does anyone know valid island donation sites......

Which organization would be the best to donate to, to help with the immediate recovery and support after this "witch" goes by. I'm sure St. Martin is going to need a great deal of help.

That's a good question. We will be trying to compile such a list, so anyone that has the name of an organization and the contact information that can help, please post here.

I think that we will give directly to people who we know need help.

There are bound to be some Faith-based organizations helping after the fact but sadly, I have no names either. Having read stories about the Red Cross and knowing my own Dad's stories about them during WWII I always hesitate to send my funds in that direction, but that's just me. I doubt Samaritans Purse operates there and I don't know about the Salvation Army but thinking probably not.

I think there will be places posted in the daily hereld and also the today newspaper... But yes. must pick and choose. when I can reach my friends on Island I will ask that question... We must know the contributes go to the island.

That is a good idea, but many here wouldn't know how to do that. Hopefully there will be info posted in a couple of days from the Daily Herald or elsewhere.
