Rosemary, facing the sea from Mary's Boon, turn right and walk. Karakter is the next beach bar you'll encounter. Keep going, past Beachside Villas, and you'll get to El Zafiro. Both offer (at least they used to) free chairs if you eat or drink there.
Thanks Carol and GaKaye. I checked menus at ElZafiro, Mary's Boon. Both ---to us--- seemed too expensive for the location in the evening. Rather drive to Mario's.
Then I checked Karakter and it seemed far more reasonable should we decide to not drive anywhere one evening.
It's up to you, but I personally wouldn't walk to Karakter after night. There is no light along the beach there. If you have an early dinner, while you watch the sunset, that would be nice.
Thanks again. The 1st thing we pack is a strong flashlight with a strobe & alarm for those dark island moments. We may be the only people who walk to dinner from GCBC. Helps digestion on the walk back.
Carol that's what we were thing sunset on the beach.
Sunset and dinner on the beach would be lovely. GCBC to town is different than down Simpson Bay beach. There is literally nothing there on Simpson Bay..
The retaining wall along Mary's Boon is lit at night and lights from Karacter also shine on the beach. I wouldn't sit out there to read, but it is far from pitch black. I would not walk to Beachside or El Zafiro at night as that is a long stretch.
