Days 5 and 6

Days 5 and 6 - 06/08/2018 02:17 AM

Unfortunately, this will be somewhat boring as we continue to spend 5-6 hours a day at Club O. We actually walked down the beach today to see what kind of construction is going on and there seems to be a fair amount of activity. By far, Bikini beach is furthest along. The last 2 days we ate at Sun Beach Clubber because Chez Leandra was not open. So apparently we didn't quite understand who owned what, but the person that we met a few days ago and thought he bought Sun Beach actually owns Coda, a little restaurant/bar to the left of Petit Casino. Coda supplies the food to Sun Beach Clubber on the beach. We figured that out when we saw that the menus in both places were identical. He also told us that in 10 days, everything that was built a couple years ago north of Pedros, was going to be removed, including the concrete pads and stone wall. I'm guessing that the make shift restaurants that are there now will be displaced. Last night we ate at Jamtillean. It was fabulous. Very authentic Caribbean and Jamaican cuisine. Tonight we ate at Le Piment's opening day. It was spectacular.

Not boring at all - thanks. Good info about our fav beach. I saw a picture of Le Piment's opening night, and it looked packed.

Thanks for the report. The clearing of the property is a good sign that rebuilding will begin soon but bad news if Chez Leandra will be displaced.

There wasn't an open table in there. I think over 25% of the people there were from the Club O beach.

We tried jamtillian two weeks ago. Very enjoyable. I had the oxtail.. Was very good along with all our other dinner guests meals.
