Arrived on The Friendly Island - 01/06/2019 10:07 PM

We flew in yesterday lunch time Air Transat from Toronto. We arrived on time despite the fact that a pilot wasn't there at boarding time. Original pilot called in sick.
Gus was there waiting for us whisked us away to Mon Reve on Friars Bay road & he has his own rental cars so off we went to super u for supplies. Dinner at Le Taitu. Chicken with blue cheese sauce & homemade coconut flan. Jean always gracious host.
This morning off to Le Croissant Royal. Ahhh! The tall guy from France was back working there. Nice to see him again. Went to orient rainy & really windy. Stopped at bikini beach bar for drink but didn't get one. Waited ten minutes at least & all 4 workers at bar pretended we were invisible so we left. Disappointed. So off to Sunset Beach Bar where we were served snacks & drinks with smiling friendly service. Love it there. Lots of action today.
Tonight off to Bistro de la Mer in Marigot. Great food, friendly service!
Sooo happy to be back. Wow big changes from last January! Will try for pictures. BeachKitten, if I can't???😁 maybe?

Interesting, several comments regarding less than stellar service at Bikini. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Welcome back! The first day sounds interesting so hope the trend keeps going. I did get my calendar when on the island but always remember your kindness for getting one for me the last two years when I was not able to go.😊 Hope you are able to enjoy lots of sunshine!

I think you are the only ones I "know" who stay at Mon Reve. I've looked at their web site but would be interested in any additional information about the place you'd like to share. I've been by it when going to Friars Bay, and it looks nice. Not sure I could do without an ocean view, however. Did that last time and said "never again." However, the price can't be beat!

Enjoy the rest of your stay.
