Beautiful photos - thank you for sharing them.
We thought about going to the parade - briefly, but between the heat and humidity and all we changed our minds. After seeing the photos, next year I think we'll park in a friend's driveway and watch from there. Looks incredible.....

I just posted the photos I didn't take them, but they are great pictures, yes! I would think that some of those costumes would be incredibly heavy, since they are so massive.

It was quite a spectacle. First time the wife and I attended the Grand Carnival Parade and it was well worth it. Glad to be able to share a few of my photos.

They have the burning of King Momo on Tuesday, May 7. That is the official end of Carnival.

Pat. A friend of mine rents a room streetside in the Hollander House every year for the parade. Now that’s my idea of a good way to watch the parade. Drinks, AC, and a bathroom. I could handle that.

Where are all these people from? St. Maarten or other islands. Who pays for the costumes?

Great photos, thank you for sharing. Imagine all the work and design that go into those costumes.
