That is a Letter to the Editor with the name of the author withheld. It may or may NOT be factual.

Have some scoop on this. And for the life of me not sure who I was talking to but what’s happening is “back in the day” the deeds to purchase the land may not have been right. Something about was the land really owned to be sold? If that makes sense. There was talk that a golf course would remain but the rest would be what we call in the US “open space”. And basically given back to the people. This was an older gentleman I was chatting with - but for the life of me can’t remember his name or if it was pure speculation on his part.

I guess any movement is better than nothing. How could this be any worse than what is there now. The road through the property is in terrible condition and driving through it at night is dangerous.

Lights were on in June but off in July which I don’t get and yes the road is horrible. At least I have snow and ice heaves to create the mess I live on in CT!!! Elaine sees it daily. But people park on both sides of the road and it becomes basically a one lane - mostly on Sundays. Just a giant mess. Why the government doesn’t just open up the parking lot larger I will never understand if the owner won’t. Sad all around.

Interesting, how the topic of government long leases is in the news a lot these days.

J.D that's not factual. The property is owned by Mr. Husang Ansary.

Thanks Lesley. An anonymous Letter to the Editor with no substantial backing is not a source I would be comfortable with.

Whatever happens I hope it includes fixing that road and having proper lighting that works consistently.
