We are very happy to return to Sint Maarten at the end of this month. Does anyone know if the liquor in the supermarkets is reasonably priced or should we purchase before at duty free shop?
Thanks so much.

Never at an airport duty free shop, the markets are sometimes good if they have specials, but the Friendly Duty Free 2 store at 43-E
front sreet will beat eveeryone's price 99% of the time. Also, if you buy more than you can carry they will deliver to your resort.
This is one of three store that Kaycee owns on front street.

Kaycee is great. I buy all of my liquor and cigars (except a bundle of Juggies cigars) from Friendly Duty Free. I find they are the best prices on island and will negotiate if buying cash and quantity. Grocery stores, except for some of the smaller shops, traditionally are higher priced.

Cost-U-Less had some decent prices also...

Nope, avoid the duty free shops at the airport. Better prices on liquor almost anywhere else.

Liquor is so inexpensive in SXM. Why would anyone negotiate?
Prices on island excellent.

Why not negotiate if they are willing to do it?

We found wine to be the least expensive at Super U back in March.
