JFK terminal? - 10/15/2019 12:40 PM

When connecting from domestic flight to international flight on Delta, will I have to change terminals at JFK ? Trying to figure out if 1hr. 5min. Is enough time

Arrivals and departures are subject to change at any time so I would be prepared to change terminals since there are no less than 6 terminals at JFK. International flights usually arrive and depart from a terminal with direct access to customs and immigration. Delta uses terminals 2 & 4 and from what I can quickly find, terminal 4 is for their international flights. 1h 5m would be a concern for me at a major airport like JFK.

You can check your flight #'s against the terminals for the last few days but there is no guarantee they will be the same for your flights.

Our delta flight from Seattle back in June went to Terminal 4
For some reason some domestic delta flights begin and end at terminal 4

Been there and done that at JFK with a few airlines including Delta. 65 minutes is really tight, but for departures it may be okay if your first flight is absolutely on time. You'll have to hustle and walk a fairly long walk to reach the Delta international departures, but it's possible. But, coming back the 65 minutes simply won't cut it. Once again it's a long walk just to get to Customs & Immigration (this is huge airport), and I would estimate you'll need about an hour to reach that point and get through the busy work needed before heading off to the next gate. IMO minimum time for return flights back from SXM thru JFK is 90 minutes. Sorry!
