The Dutch bridge was hit by a big boat at about 1600 15 DEC 19. The bridge is damaged and can not be closed.

The Captain had to be new because he had a lot of space on the other side . But the boat is not new to the area.

The Yacht Ecstasea was built at Feadship for Roman Abramovich. In 2009 Abramovich sold the yacht Ecstasea to the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi: HH Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. If you find the FB video which I referenced above (Sorry, I can’t copy the URL using the FB iPhone app) you’ll see that he jumped out of the door, and is safe. If he had stayed at his post he would likely not have survived.

Ok, two take-aways....yes it is protected from rain. And YOU HAVEN'T BEEN IN TOUCH YET?! lol....I would've thought someone should have followed them to their berth right away. lol
There is a video from someone in a car on the bridge which plainly shows something was open on the yacht....and a crew member dashes inside but not quick enough to raise it.
Another video shows Sam barely escaping and running down the stairs! Good thing he was paying attention!

The ships agent was immediately in touch with the relevant authorities and investigation is underway.
