Phl. airport travelers

Hello All ,
The last couple of times that we have traveled to SXM . We have flown out of EWR even though it is a little more than hour longer drive than Phl. I just checked Phl. flying with American . Even on a Saturday in Nov. they do not have a
direct flight. ( EWR does with United ) and the price out of Phl. with American is almost twice the price. So I contacted South West last week . I sent them an e-mail and asked " Hello , I know S.W. was looking into flying to SXM before Irma . I hope you are still considering flying there soon . Especially out oh PHL. Airport Thank you " . I did get a response back fairly quickly . Their response was " Thanks for letting us know where you'd like to see us fly next, Robin. We look forward to our next opportunity to welcome you onboard. -Emilia " I contacted them through Face Book Messenger . So if other people that fly out of Phl. to go to SXM might want to contact them to show that there is an interest in them flying out of there . Don't know if it will help or not . But I don't know what else to try . Thank you .

I received that very same reply 10 months ago when I asked when they would be flying to SXM. Then I asked in person and was told they had no concrete plans to fly to SXM so don't hold your breath.

I figured that this was their standard reply . I was just hoping to get other people that felt the same way to inquire . Was wondering if they got enough requests they might look into it a little more .
I am not sure what the problem is with American and flying to SXM out of Phl. Those flights are terrible . We used to fly out of Phi. all the time , with US Air and then after the take over American . But now EWR
is mush better in quality of flights and price . It's worth the extra hour or so travel time to go there .

We have flown out of PHL for the last couple years since we liked the convenience of a direct flight and we could stay at the airport Marriott the night before. We will add our request to Southwest as you suggested, since we have long endured the problems with AA and USAir before that.

We fly from PWM to SXM through PHL with the only other real choice being CTL. The only real problem with PHL for us, is changing terminals with a tight connection. Yes it would be great if SW would fly to SXM giving us more choices.
