Carnival cancels until fall

They recently said Carnival cancelling sailing into the fall and Pullmantur, partially owned by Royal Caribbean has filed for reorganization and no cruises.

This site is very informative. Last article was Why you should NOT take a voucher for your cancelled cruise.

Open note to Jonny - I’ve been following this forum almost from its inception and rarely do I do something like this but what the heck, and let me say in advance - I hope my Canadian friends and family will forgive me for my bluntness.......

I’ve read all your posts and would have commented to you earlier but each time I tried to the forum moderators had already deleted your posts, and I’m willing to bet they did so for the same things I was seeing - your negativity and sometimes, your open hostility towards the U.S.

SXM is known to be ‘the Friendly Island’ and this forum is generally known to be a friendly forum, most of us genuinely wanting to share our island knowledge and experiences, or seeking information from those who might be able to help.

We all have our moments and anyone can slip up on occasion in the way we say things but IMHO, it would be nice if you canned the negativity and tried a little positivity for a change.

And should the moderators feel this comment is out of line, I understand, but I believe it needed to be made.

Hi Pat - I’m mostly a reader of this board and don’t post a lot. But let me say “Thank you” - not just for this post but for your continued positivity. This world has enough problems, and thinking about or reading about my fave “home away from home” shouldn’t be filled with snarky and negative comments.

Keep 🙏 that we can return to SXM sooner than we think. 😁

pat, your post is fine an appreciated but "Jonny" needs to get a grip on the constant and continued negativity and BASHING of the US. It has NO place here.

Thank you Pat. I've started to respond to Jonny's negativity and anti-American comments several times, but knew I couldn't state it as diplomatically as you did, so I bit my tongue. As always...the voice of reason.
